We made it! We got through to the semi-finals of the National 8-a-sides, on our first visit to the tournament! A great achievement for Stockport U12s.
Back onto the bouncy astro-turf, we came up against Timperley. Having met them a couple of times in this year's league, and not been the victors, we were going to try our hardest to change this habit. And the boys really did give it their very best shot - well, several of them to be honest. We did dominate the first half, and had several shots on goal - only for them to either be saved, or miss their target... Finishing the first half at 0-0 felt like a great achievement.
Timperley got into their stride in the second half, as we were tiring, and got 2 goals past our defence to take them through to the finals.
Although not a win - a result for the boys to be proud of - having played some great games at this tournament, and shown themselves to be a great team.
