And here it is - the first trophy of the season! Brilliant play by every boy - in both the A Team, and the B Team.  Well done and Congratulations boys!

Well done also to James, who stepped up to be the B Team goalie, in spite of being new to lacrosse and not having practised in goals before.  That was a fantastic effort James, well done.
As for our A Team goalie - some excellent saves helped us make this Cup ours - well played Ben!

Congratulations also to Michael - who was nominated Man of the Match/Tournament and won the Northern Soul sponsored prize! Brilliant.

We just need to do it all again next week now! Come on the Blues!

And into the Final! Well, we got this far, it would have been a shame to leave without the Cup... Another cracking game from the boys too.  Once again, the first half went to us, although Poynton weren't going to make it easy, and came back strong in the second half with the first goal before we got three goals in a row.

Excellent play from all the team made it a well-earned win.  Well done boys.

Through to the semi-final!

After a pep talk from Coach following the defeat in game 4, the boys came out in the semi-final determined to get through to the Final.  Back up against Timperley, this game was very different to the last one and they played with skill and determination. It was fantastic! Dominating the first half with a 4 goal lead, Stockport got the first goal in the 2nd half too, before Timperley came back with two.  Finishing the semi-final with an 8-4 win, Stockport were into the Final, for the first time in a good few years!

In the last game of their tournament, the B team were looking good.  Everyone gave it their all, and it paid off with 2 goals! Well done Ren! All even just before the hooter went, Norbury just managed to get one past James to win the game. Well played B Team.

Last game of the round-robins and we were against Timperley A.  It soon started to look like we'd have to play some good lacrosse if we were going to win it, but it just didn't quite come together, and the boys felt their first defeat of the tournament. And indeed, the season!

Quarter Finals of the Cup

After a couple of postponements, we eventually met Brooklands for the next round of the Onondaga Cup.  It was a great game, and all the boys got stuck in - some a bit more than others, from some of the photos!
Another great start in quarter one, with a 7-0 scoreline in our favour!  With a couple of disallowed goals, and more than a few penalties, it was an exciting game to watch.
And at the end of the quarters, we were through to the next round... the Semi Finals!
