On our home ground this time, and against a stronger Cheadle team than our last meeting, but we still didn't rest on our laurels, based on our last scoreline. A strong first half gave Stockport a comfortable lead, and the chance in the second half for all our latest recruits to get some quality match play.
Welcome to James and Matthew in their first match for Stockport, and also Happy Birthday to James, who will be 10 on Tuesday!
Final Score Stockport 19 : Cheadle 4

First trip up to Mellor
On our first trip to Mellor's ground in a good few years, the boys were on form (again) this week.
With Lewis being the first to score today - the game gave us 8 different goal scorers altogether - a record so far! With good groundballs, some decent passing and more than a few shots on target - Stockport clocked up another victory. Credit goes to Mellor's goalkeeper - who kept out a good few shots too!
Final score - Mellor 3 : Stockport 21
Quarter scores: 0-7 / 1-6 / 1-2 / 1-6
Next fixture: at home against Cheadle

Playing Poynton
Back to sunshine today for our first 'proper' match of the season, following the round-robins.
Although we were the first to score in today's game, Poynton looked strong in the first quarter - strong enough for Coach to call a time-out to bring our defence up to speed... And, at 2-2 it looked like the game could go either way. Stockport then hit their stride with another 4 goals, to win the first quarter.
Some great play today - with 5 assists, some good passing, and some great defence work.
Final Score - Stockport 15 - Poynton 5
Quarter scores: 6-2 / 3-0 / 4-2 / 2-1
Next fixture: away at Mellor
