The boys looked smart in their new blue kit today - in the pouring rain!
It wasn't good weather, and the first half of today's game wasn't as good as usual either. This was in spite of scoring in the first few minutes, and getting 4 goals before Brooklands managed to get their first past us.
Even though we got 10 goals today, the tally should've been much higher. With shots pinging off pipes, and slingshots going wide, the total should have been more like 16 than 10!
The most memorable goal of the day was from Cameron though, who, after hitting the pipe earlier in the game, took a cross from Michael to score in the final quarter!
Well played Cameron!

Away at Sheffield
In our first 'proper' match of the season, we travelled over to Sheffield. The last time we went over the Pennines, last Nov, we were beaten by 15 goals! This time, it was our turn to score 15 goals, and take away a victory.
In a game of 2 halves, Stockport dominated the first two quarters - winning every face, and having the vast majority of the possession, scoring 4 goals before Sheffield won one back.
With the score at 1-7 by half time, Sheffield rallied in the second half, but with more goals up our sleeves, we won every quarter and finished with a comfortable win.
Quarter scores: 1-5 / 0-2 / 3-4 / 3-4
Final Score: Sheffield 7 : Stockport 15
next fixture: at home vs Brooklands
