World Cup Festival Games
Stockport Lacrosse U12s put a team into the Festival at the Firs to mark the start of the 2010 World Cup.
We played 5 games at the Festival site - winning just one.
Our team today was a few players down and with the Captain nursing an injury, our usual line-up was a bit disrupted. In Michael's first game for Stockport though, he worked really hard, and proved a real asset to our team - not only today, but hopefully for the start of the new season in September too. Welcome to Stockport Michael!

Junior Summer Tour to Blues Lacrosse. 26th and 27th June 2010
The Junior Boys made the long trip south to take on Spencer and Blues at Blues Lacrosse club this weekend.
Arriving on a very hot and humid afternoon, the U12s had a 4pm face-off against Spencer.
The heat and long journey had taken their toll though, and while managing to score 7 goals, the Stockport lads were defeated in a 16:7 win for Spencer.
Whilst day 2 got off to a scorching start, the humidity wasn't as bad, and with a shorter pitch and 15 minute quarters, the boys scored a brilliant victory against Blues Lacrosse with a 3:10 win!
With a warm welcome and excellent hospitality from Blues, a great weekend was had by boys and parents alike.

U11s Tournament: Brooklands Lacrosse Club
On Sun 24th May - one of the first really hot days of the year, our U11s competed in 6 games of lacrosse on the astroturf of Brooklands.
The results were fantastic - especially considering the soaring temperatures and lack of shade.
They scored a total of 23 goals across the 6 games, conceding only 12 goals, resulting in 3 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses.
Final Scores:
Game 1 - Stockport 7 : HMG 1
Game 2 - Stockport 6 : Brooklands 1
Game 3 - Stockport 4 : Poynton 5
Game 4 - Stockport 3 : Mellor 1
Game 5 - Stockport 2 : Timperely 2
Game 6 - Stockport 1 : Rochdale 2
