I can't believe it's been so long since our last match! And this weekend doesn't look too promising either - if the forecast is anything to go by...
What won't change, whatever the weather though, is... our annual Christmas Social
See you for Bowling and Buffet, and bags of fun, this Saturday!

Trip to Cheadle Hulme
In what could be classed as our 'local derby', the Blues got off to a great start. We were 8-0 up before Cheadle Hulme got themselves into the game in Q2.
The boys were on good form again, with some good passing and catching and a number of shots on goal.
They just need to remember to keep their discipline and play like they have been doing, to keep ahead...
Another great win for the U12s, and a great new recruit too - welcome to Stockport Thomas!
Final score: Cheadle Hulme 4 : Stockport 13
Quarter scores: 0-5/ /1-3 / 2-2 / 1-3
Next fixture: at home vs Timperley A

A great game against Poynton
The boys played a great game today on Poynton's first visit to Stockport this season.
The first quarter saw Stockport take a number of shots on goal, but 'only' 3 found their mark. After a time-out team talk to set things right, the Blues won every quarter of the game.
Our team played well all the way through and had a lot of the possession. With good groundballs, consistent marking in defence, accurate throwing and catching - it all contributed to a great team effort, and a well-deserved win.
The dramatic finish in the final minute created another gripping final quarter. With Poyton scoring in the final minute, there was only 30 seconds of the game left... Fighting till the end, we won the face, and Michael managed to find the back of the net - with just 2 seconds to spare!
Final score: Stockport 13 : Poynton 7
Quarter scores: 3-2 / 4-1 / 3-2 / 3-2
Next fixture: away at Cheadle Hulme

Change of venue vs Mellor
Stockport became the hosts of today's match due to a water-logged pitch up at Mellor.
In a match reminiscent of last season, the Blues got off to a slow start today. Maybe it was playing on the big pitch for the first time this season? They didn't look as sharp as they have the last few weeks, and found themselves losing 1-4 by half-time!
In a marked change to last season though, the boys really stepped up their game to win the next two quarters. The final quarter was exciting to watch, as Mellor scored the first goal of the quarter, but were quickly overtaken, by 2 goals from Thomas. With another Stockport goal bringing the score to 6-6, we thought we would finish the game at a draw... Unfortunately, Mellor got one past our goalie in the final minute of the game!
It was a great game to watch, and a real show of spirit from the boys.
