This was our third game against Timperley this season, and we've previously won one, lost one, so had everything to play for.
With all the rain recently, we were on astroturf at Timperley's ground this week, so a faster game and the advantage was Timperley's (only from the point of view of them being more used to playing on that surface).
Our boys did SO well too! With a goal in Qtr 1 to set us up, we were at 4-4 in Qtr 3. We gave Timperley a great game and looked so much more together this week.
It was unfortunate that Timperley scored a few goals in the last half of Qtr 3 & in Qtr 4 to win the game - but, the Stockport boys were looking good and in good shape to take them on again next week in the Cup!
Coach's Tip of the Week: Believe you can win, and DON'T give up!
Final score: Timperley 10 : Stockport 4
Next fixture: at home vs Timperley in the 1st round of the Cup!

Away at Rochdale
Our second visit to the home of the Flags this season, and some more goals under our belt :)
The team played really well in the first 3/4s of the game, which is where all our goals were scored. Let's keep the pace up into the final quarter in the next game.
Good work on running into space and passing, with maybe a bit more practice needed on groundballs, but, we're getting there
Final score: Rochdale 15 : Stockport 7
Next fixture: away at Timpereley B

Trip to Sheffield
As we were officially the 'spare' team today - Sheffield invited us over for a 3-way friendly with themselves and WACS.
Unusually for a Blues visit to Sheffield, the weather was actually sunny - no fog, frost or snow!
Sheffield beat WACS quite solidly in the first of the 3 games, and in a show of good sportsmanship, cheered Stockport on in our game against the Reds. Although we got a couple past them though, it was a Red victory.
Against Sheffield, we gave them a good game and had a few breaks and shots on goal, but, unluckily failed to score this time.
Final scores: WACS 8 : Stockport 2
Sheffield 15 : Stockport 0
Sheffield 14 : WACS 1
Next fixture: away at Rochdale

Bonfire night game against Norbury
Good effort again this week from the boys in blue. Although, we're still waiting for these efforts to pay off with a win... Keep it up though, and maybe next time...
Coach's tip of the week: DON'T GIVE UP!
Don't let a little setback get you down - YOU can change the way things go!
Not many good pics this week I'm afraid, I was too busy videoing the action on the pitch for a future training session - should be interesting, I think...
Final Score: Stockport 1 : Norbury 9
Next fixture: as we're the 'spare' team next week, please keep an eye out for emails advising of Sat's game

Halloween match at Poynton
The final match of October was on a gorgeous sunny day at Poynton. The lessons from the 'classroom' session last week were in evidence as the boys put in so much effort - with more passing and more running into space.
The final score didn't really reward their hard work, but, we were on the scoreboard this week with goals from Edward and Matthew :)
Final score: Poynton 14 - Stockport 3
Next fixture: at home against Norbury
